Voter's Ballot Box-Marion County

City Council Elections

If you are interested in running for City Council, contact Kirsti Pizzuto at City Hall for more information. On June 5th, 2024 we will begin accepting applications for the following four positions:

  • Mayor Angelica Ceja's position, term expiring December 31, 2024
  • Councilor Scott Lee's position, term expiring December 31, 2024
  • Councilor Katie Wallace's position, term expiring December 31, 2024
  • Councilor Walter Wick's position, term expiring December 31, 2024

Aumsville's term of office for mayor is two years, and the term for city councilor is four years. Aumsville City Council generally meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Applying for Mayor or City Council Elections

Individuals interested in running for City Council may download the 2024 Elections Information Packet and follow the instructions within. The following is a brief overview: 

  • All applications for the 2024 Elections must be received no later than 3:30 PM on August 22, 2024 at City Hall.
  • Prospective Candidates may file by fee ($25) or by petition (minimum of 25 valid signatures)
  • Qualified candidates must:
    • Be a registered Oregon voter (see Registering to Vote below for information on how to register), AND
    • Have resided within Aumsville city limits for a minimum of 12 months immediately preceding the election

There are no measures or candidates for the City of Aumsville in the current elections, but there will be in the November General Elections.

The Marion County Elections Ballot Drop Box is Currently Closed.

The Drop Box will reopen once the November election ballots are distributed. Aumsville's 24-hour ballot box is located at the NE corner of City Hall. If you enter the parking lot from Main Street, follow the driveway to the right of the building and the ballot box will be on the left at the rear corner of the building before you exit the parking lot to Church Street.
